Consultation has concluded
Council has recently received a proposal from the Port MacDonnell Netball Club to redevelop the tennis courts adjacent to their Clubhouse, in order to expand and improve the current netball courts. The proposal includes the removal of seven (7) Norfolk Island pine trees, which are located between the respective courts as per the above map highlighted in red.
Council endorsed the community consultation plan at the Ordinary Council meeting on Monday 16 August 2021. Consultation regarding the removal of the trees is open for the period of 18 August – 9 September 2021.
Interested parties of the community can provide their response via the following:
1. Your Say poll via the tab below
2. Ballot box feedback form at our Port MacDonnell Community Complex (hardcopy submission).
Once the consultation period is closed, the submissions received from Port MacDonnell residents will then be collated and reported to Council for their consideration. Based on the community response, Council will then be required to determine whether to approve the removal of trees, or not.
