In 2018 the SA Disability Inclusion Act 2018 was passed which seeks to clarify South Australia’s role in supporting people with a disability.
The Disability Inclusion Act 2018 requires all Councils to develop and implement a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) to assist in planning and implementing improvements to access and inclusion. These plans can benefit many people in the community including people with disability, the elderly, young parents and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Council have partnered with the Local Government Association (LGA) on a state-wide project to deliver a Disability Access Inclusion Plan (DAIP).
Councils DAIP will be completed and published in an accessible format on Council’s website by 31 October 2020.
Please take the time to complete this survey and your feedback will be used to develop a plan to improve access and inclusion to all Council services and facilities.
