Council acknowledges that it is a privilege to be standing on Boandik Country. We acknowledge the contributions of Aboriginal Australians and non Aboriginal Australians to the development of all peoples in this country we live in and share together - Australia.

It should be noted that throughout the Draft Thematic Heritage Framework Study, there is limited narration of the history of the Boandik People’s pre-colonial occupation of the land – recognising that the Boandik heritage and stories, are to be shared by Boandik People with their own voices.
