Council delivers a number of waste services across the District and we want your feedback about them! That way we can keep improving and making sure that you are getting the right information and we are providing services that meet both your needs and those of the community as a whole.

How to give us your feedback?

There are a couple of options for giving us your feedback below:

1. Tell us what you think- feedback, ideas and opportunities for improvement

2. Any questions? Post any waste related questions and we will aim to get back to you within 5 business days.

How will we use your feedback?

While we will aim to continuously improve Council cannot accommodate every request due to service levels and budget constraints, however we will use your feedback through a quarterly report so that we can review our services and identify new opportunities.

Where to find more information?

Council has a designated webpage for all things waste HERE is the link, there are also links to important other websites under the Important Links tab.

Check out the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) tab on the right of the page.

If you have a question directly relating to your service eg missed collection, ordering a waste transfer voucher or new bin, then please contact us at info@dcgrant.sa.gov.au or call 08 8721 0444.

Let us know what you think, your ideas or any opportunities for improvement. This info will then be collated into a quarterly report and reviewed so that we can continue to improve our services. As mentioned above, Council cannot action every request due to service levels and budget constraints however we are committed to listening to your feedback and using it to make  improvements wherever possible.

Is it possible to have central location / collection for the 10cent returnable bottles. The proceeds could be put in a fund for a community project or provided to local sports groups etc. So many bottles are dumped. It would be great to have a community drop point or collection. Or at least information on what groups are collecting them :)

I am rather annoyed that you are charging me for a rubbish service I do not want or need.
My property has been occupied since 1905 and has not had a rubbish service for 115 years.
Why would I want one now.
You ignored 2 surveys that resulted in less than 80% of the people In my area wanting a rubbish collection and just implemented it anyway.
I note that your waste management policies main requirement is to prevent material going to landfill.
Please explain how making people pay for a rubbish bin collection reduces material going to landfill when the bin collection goes directly to landfill.
You have effectively Increased my rates by 25%.
I understand that the rubbish collection is run by a private contractor so my council is forcing me to pay a private contractor for a service I don't want to subsidise those that just want their rubbish to dissapear with no concern for reducing landfill.

Entry to dump cards should be issued with rates notices. Having to go into the council office is a waste of everyone’s time and a waste of council resources. The reasoning that some rate payers are not up to date with their rates is a separate issue. Don’t punish the majority due to the minority. Return to old system with cut out sections on rates notice.
