Consultation has concluded
A key project outlined in the 2014 Port MacDonnell Masterplan was to relocate the power underground along Sea Parade Port MacDonnell. As a result of the Master Plan Council has advocated for a co-funded project with the Power Line Environment Committee (PLEC), this project is valued at $684,083.
Works will commence in early March 2020 with the implementation of Stage 1 which involves under grounding the power along a section of Sea Parade and Charles Street (to the Port MacDonnell Community Complex). This will be followed by Stage 2 to remove the overhead wires and poles with a forecasted completion date of May 2020.
